Evan is a week old today! Sooo...Happy week-bday, lil' E.

Tummy time

Yesterday's doc visit went glorious! Evan got the okay to go off the UV Light. It's been wonderful to carry our baby around the house instead of having to keep within a few feet of an outlet (my million dollar idea is to make a battery powered robo-baby blanket - oh wait, maybe I shouldn't be telling y'all that).

Additionally, the nurses were floored when they saw he'd gained 4 oz. over the weekend, meaning that - at the time of writing this post - he's likely back up to his birth weight, a full week ahead of schedule (hmmm...early again....noting a trend).

I believe there must be a competition between all our friends and family with who can be the most generous - 'cause they're seriously attempting to out do one another. The gifts, food, random surprises are never ending.

We're getting the house painted this week...so there's a little excitement around that (don't worry, I'll post before/after pics when the paint is dry). PLUS, Grandma and Grandpa Ballou are leaving New Mexico today and driving out here for 2 weeks of Grandbaby time. We can't wait!
