What a great Father's Day weekend! The perfect mix of relaxing, socializing, and extreme baby-ing. And even more special because Nana & Papa were in town.

Veggin' with Nana |
We kicked off the weekend with a long walk along the San Tomas Aquino trail and delicious Ciopinno at THE FISH MARKET. Saturday morning we hit up Sunnyvale's farmers' market with Aunties Gracie and Leddee. After a lazy afternoon of Modern Family episodes and strolling Willow Glen's downtown, we headed to San Jose for a jumbo-sized dinner at Guy Fieri's JOHNNY GARLIC'S. Whoa. Fishbowl-sized mojitos. Buffalo meatloaf. Pesto encrusted halibut. Sashimi tacos. It was wild and scrumptious! E was awesome during all of it (I won't mention the diaper blow-out at the table that almost required us to have to wash his hair a second time for the day...because talking about that would be totally disgusting).

Sunday greeted me with Lisa's homemade waffles. We hung out for a bit and then headed to Fremont Older Open Space for a hike with E. I can't believe we'd never been there! The area is beautiful. And even though it was hot, we pushed the stroller up to Hunter's Point and got a terrific view of the whole valley. We rounded out the holiday at Oma & Opa's with a big BBQ.

Yesterday morning, we had a teary goodbye to Nana & Papa as they headed back to New Mexico, though we will see them soon: Lisa, lil'E, and I have tickets to visit them mid-July!

I'm gonna miss Nana & Papa |
