Breastfeeding class Wednesday night was interesting and informative. (And, by the way, there were a TON of Dads-to-be there...I guess guys will sit through anything to get a peek). Compared to some delivery footage from the birthing class, the stuff we saw totally gets the G-rating.
The funniest part of that class was about the 5th time they mentioned, "Now, parents, remember..." Lisa realized that they weren't referring to her parents, but US!
Lisa and the awesome chair rail! So classy. |
Friday night was Newborn Care class and I can now proudly diaper a plastic baby doll. For some reason actual parents laugh at me when I brag about this...makes me wonder if the simulation was entirely accurate...
This weekend we got a chair rail hung (yeah!), disposed of a lot of old stuff (in prep for all the new stuff we'll be accruing soon), saw a fantastic play (INTO THE WOODS), and hit a wild b-day party.
On a more somber note, today was Grandma Anna's 91st birthday. We sure do miss her, but we know she's pumped we're having a boy (she always said, "I love boys!"). To celebrate the occasion, a bunch of us went to THE COUNTRY INN for dinner since it was her go-to spot.
Looking forward to this week when my parents will be in town for one of Lisa's baby showers! But lots to do before they get here...
