Rite of Passage!

Been a busy couple days (hmmm...busy with an infant - who'da guessed).

The Frenulum...this isn't Evan,
but it's what his looked like
First up, Evan had to get his Frenulum snipped (which is the little flap of skin under the tongue) because it was too long and interfering with his ability to feed right and, as it turns out, the volume of his cry (thanks, Kaiser ;) The procedure was a small incision and it was super quick. I've heard him wail more at diaper changes. Honestly, it was harder on Lisa than on the little man. But he survived and everyone is much better off for it.

Second, my parents arrived from New Mexico (from here on out they'll be know as Nana & Papa). I think I saw Nana put down Evan one time in the last 18 hours, but I might've imagined it too. They've been a tremendous help.
Nana & Papa the first time they held E
And, finally...Lisa and I passed an ancient, sacred rite of parenthood last night: We cleaned projectile poop from the walls. Yep, in changing the diaper just before bed, Evan decided he was not quite done and had a perfect shot. It's hard to be grossed out when you're laughing that hard.

Oh, and the answer to the question y'all are dying to ask: Yes, we did pick the right color of green.

The first walk around the block as a family
