Happy Anniversary!

Our wedding, 5 years ago today.

Five years ago today, I won some sort of mega-jackpot and married just about the sweetest, sassiest girl on the planet. Now, we were supposed to have a big romantic dinner in honor of the occasion, but lil'E had other plans...but, we wouldn't trade him for the world. Though, we're super lucky that both sets of grandparents are having a babysitting-fest and letting us go to a quick dinner (I think they're more excited about us going out than we are).

The last couple days have been the usual whirlwind - dinners and family and friends and DOGS (everywhere), but so much fun. Evan is more and more alert, though still sleeps a lot...except between 10pm and 1am when Mommy and Daddy are really tired - but we're all learning to adapt and enjoy. The nesting continues as our house gets repainted, even if delayed a little from the rain. So far, so good. We love the colors Lisa picked (no Evan's room green here). Pics coming soon.

Another big event today: We strapped Evan to our carrier and took a nice walk around the neighborhood. He nuzzled up like a champ and all the dogs fell in line. Our 'pack' must've looked quite the sight: 4 dogs, Nana, Papa, Mommy, and me with a baby on my chest. Bet the neighbors got a giggle as we marched by.

Well, I better go get ready for our big date because the grandparents seem to be getting antsy....
