4 Months!

Friday marked E's four-month-old birthday and in celebration...he got shots (boo, I know!) But he handled it well and took a long nap afterwards to recover. The rest of the check up went great and our doc was very happy with his development. She thought he was making good eye contact and getting much more control of his head (and totally understood how hard that must be with such chubby cheeks). E smiled and "talked" with her quite a bit too.

Ok, I know everyone is dying to find out who won the bet between Lisa and myself over E's weight (I thought he was in the 16's & Lisa put all her chips on the 15's)...and the results show...ummm, never mind. Forget about that stupid bet. Doesn't matter anyway.

Kidding (obviously, I lost).

Here are his stats:

Weight: 15 lbs. 5.5 oz. which is 61st percentile (a.k.a he's heavier than 61% of baby boys his age).
Height: 26.5" which is 90th percentile.
Head Circumference: 17" which is 76th percentile.

The rest of our weekend was boring.

HA! Kidding again. It was another B-U-S-Y, but fun, one.

Baby and Mommy on the go
Friday night, the Balyons came over (Roger, Sarah, Rowan, and Cid) for dinner and cupcake decorating. It was the usual chaos that's strangely relaxing (or maybe that's the wine...) and a great way to welcome the weekend.

Saturday, Lisa co-hosted a baby shower for our good friend Jen. And so E, Oma, and Lisa were gone most of the day. I took the opportunity to see a movie, mow the lawn, run errands, etc. While it was productive, I missed them. But all reports show that he was a very good boy at the party. Then we all met up for a delicious dinner at a new(ish) seafood place, Pacific Catch. Yum. E surprised us that night and slept for 10.5 hours straight! What a sweetie.

E loves his Wubbanub
Early morning Mass on Sunday followed by coffee with Gracie, Auntie Leddee, and Leddee's parents visiting from Ohio. We squeezed in a quick trip to Target on our way to a BBQ with some of Lisa's high school friends. Then we stopped by Grandma Anna's old house to help move some stuff and have an impromptu family visit with Uncle Ron, Uncle Mark, Aunt Dasha, and the girls. On the way to Opa/Oma's for dinner and unloading furniture, we swung by the house to pick up the dogs.

I alluded to it above, but Grandma's house sold, which is bittersweet. Opa and his brothers got more than what they were asking for, but there are decades of memories in that house for all the generations.  It's hard to imagine not popping over there. Now it's time for another family to make memories on Sunset Dr.  I'm sure Grandma is rolling over in her grave for a few reasons. First of all, it sold for just shy of the million that she thought it should sell for (*wink*wink*). Second, we ripped out the carpets to reveal the beautiful hardwood floor underneath. And finally, we spent too much time fixing the place up. Although even she would admit that it looks fantastic! We'll all miss visiting this house, but really, it's Grandma that we miss
Look at those floors!
