The New Ballou 2.0!

So in case you haven't heard through the grapevine, missed the Facebook announcements, or are here for more info:

WE'RE EXPECTING A DAUGHTER IN MARCH!!

Yep, The New Ballou 2.0 is on her way!

Now, to address some Frequently Asked Questions:

+ Are y'all excited about having a little baby girl?
Stoked! We would've been happy with either gender, of course, but it'll be a blast having a slightly different parenting path with a daughter...with it's unique rewards and canon of challenges. (For instance, I already don't want her dating until she's 25 :-).

+ Exactly when is the due date?
March 22, 2014. But with E having been an entire month early, we're wondering if the same thing will happen again. Let's put it this way: we won't be travelling farther than work when February rolls around.

How's E doing with the big news?
As good as a 1.5 year-old can...which is with no comprehension of the changes to come. Though I do think it'll be good for him (long term) to share the center of the universe.

To his credit, when you ask him, "Where's mommy's baby?" He points to her tummy. Sometimes, he'll even cuddle up next to it and 'give the baby a hug.' All that said, he cuddles up to my stomach when you ask him about daddy's baby (and, no, thank you, I don't have a beer gut...or at least not a big enough one for even E to mistake as a baby).

How's Lisa feeling?
She's doing great. A little more tired than normal, but that could be from chasing a toddler, working full time, and having a stuffed social calendar (see: the rest of this blog). During the first trimester, she never had morning sickness...though a few more headaches than normal.

And, yes, she did get bigger a lot faster this time. But she looks beautiful, as always. (Point: Bret).

Any names yet?
Ha. Ha. Ha. Nice try, but I'm not posting the list. You'll just have to wait to see. Though, if it plays out like last time, we'll be huddled over a bassinet several hours after the birth, going, "Ok, we need a name. Now."

And to all those who've already congratulated us in person, on the phone, email, or social media: THANK YOU! As always, your love and support is mind-boggling.
