Happy (Belated) Thanksgiving!

Sorry about not being AS consistent in the last couple of months in terms of postings. There's been lots of travel (trip logs coming soon).

It's too much (and too boring) to list out all the things we've been up to. But rest assured that it involves lots of family dinners, going out, and good times. I did want to go over some highlights.

  • Recently, we celebrated Opa's birthday. E really loved singing for him and he even said "Opa" at the proper time.

  • Tante 'Ness. Tanner, and Tanner's parents are in town and we've had a great time showing them the California ropes. Today, for instance, we hit up Burrell School Winery, strolled through the redwoods at Henry Cowell State Park, and walked along the Santa Cruz Wharf. The sea lions were hilarious and had even commandeered a moored sailboat in the harbor!

  • E is learning tons of words every day (and even starting to experiment with linking two words together, such as "Dada's shoes"). He can now call the dogs by name, or close to it..."Bee-ee" and "Doh-dee". Though his favorite words are "Oatmeal" and "Applesauce" (hmmm, I wonder who watches him all day). He also loves to say "Orange," though it sounds like he's saying it with a wired-shut jaw.

  • A huge group congregated at Uncle Ron's for Thanksgiving (25+ people). Of course, the food was plentiful and amazing. Though it was too close to call if Uncle Ron's turkey or Opa's turkey was better. The pressure was on Lisa and me to make the perfect cornbread stuffing...and either it was pretty good or people were nice, because they ate a lot of it and said some nice things.

We're so thankful for each other, our family, friends, dogs, the new girl on the way, and for that little guy who makes our days interesting. To wish you farewell, here's E doing his best Thanksgiving impression.
