Baby Sprinkle!

Since we last spoke, Nana and Papa (and their pups) came to visit and watch E. They've had a blast taking him to the park, Costco, and a couple aviation museums...E still can't stop talking about the Hop-ters (translation: helicopters). They also hit up Pier 39 and fed the "funny birds" (pigeons), as well as visited a bunch of historical boats at the Maritime Museum.

Having boasted nonstop about our private tour of Gordon Biersch last summer, family / friends hounded me until I agreed to set one up. I timed it to align with Nana & Papa's visit. Lisa decided a beer tour while preggers wasn't too alluring, so she stayed home with E (and cousins Sara and Haley) while the rest of us went to GB. I was worried it wouldn't meet my memory, but it sure did. Seemed like everyone had a blast. Oma even had 1.5 beers, which is approximately 1.5 beers more than she's ever tried! I highly recommenced this FREE tour to anyone in the area--but they're limited and it takes months to get in on one. That said, it's totally worth the effort and coordination to visit this real-life Willy Wonka Factory.

Saturday night, E stayed over at Uncle Simon, Auntie Leddee, and Gracie's house while we attended our annual crab feed. We're good, but I don't think many humans would be talented enough to watch a 22-month-old AND eat their weight in delicious, fresh dungeness crab. A great time was had by all, especially E, who got to play with all of Gracie's toys.

On Sunday, Lisa's aunt, godmother, and godsister's threw her a "sprinkle" or a light baby shower. While E and I weren't invited (wrong gender), it sounded like they had a wonderful time. Last night, Lisa showed me all the outfits and gifts. Let me just say, this new baby girl will be all-geared-up! I couldn't believe the generosity.

Sarah and Roger hosted us (including Nana & Papa) for dinner on Monday night and it was both delicious and a blast. These boys are meant to be friends for life, E couldn't stop talking about Roh-EN and Cid. Tuesday night we took Papa out for his B-day dinner and then had mile-high apple pie at home. Wednesday was Nana/Papa's last night, so we spent it at home, reminiscing about the good times from their visit.

Other than that, we continue the organization efforts for the coming baby (due mid-March, for those who're following...though with E, Lisa was 4 weeks early...so the clock is ticking). The big changes have been a deep sort/toss of stuff in garage, closet organization (we need space to put all the new stuff), and painting part of the nursery "Cameo Rose" (we kept the perfect shade of green, just painted pink over the pre-existing blue). We still have to transition the guest room into a race car / transportation themed new bedroom for E...but we're slowly getting there.
