We had a busy November (surprised?) and looking back, I have no idea how we had so much going on and while it felt nuts, we all maintained reasonably sane. Some of the highlights:

One of the biggest milestones was Lisa turning 40. My personal observations: she's as smart, sassy, and beautiful as ever and which we celebrated over a couple weeks with nice dinners, a laid back party at the local brewery, and seeing Hamilton and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child plays in San Francisco (ok, maybe 6 hours of Harry Potter was more of a Bret present...still it was amazing).
The other HUGE (though small) milestone taking Penny and Dixie home...well, at least home to Nana & Papa's as they're doing the initial training for both pooches. We have been spending every free second at their house bonding with the dogs and helping (?) with them. Ok, maybe we create a lot more distraction and chaos from the training...but it sure is fun chaos!
A final big milestone was Papa finally getting the knee replacement that he should've had about 20 years ago. Between watching the puppies, dog, and Papa...Nana is definitely banking up some paid-time-off in the near future!
Somewhere in there, I took a business trip to Munich (plus, some fun on the the side, mostly at the Haufbrau House), we celebrated Opa's birthday, all the ladies in the family went to the annual St. Justin Fall Tea, J received the school's ABC award for being an all around good kid, a fun day at 'Jurassic Quest' for E (basically a traveling exhibit of animatronic Dinosaurs), and we finished up the soccer season with games and parties. Oh, and a huge and delicious Turkey Day over at Uncle Ron's.
Phew...see what I mean?
And now I'm thinking that November was probably just a good warm up, since even the mildest of Decembers is CRAZY!
