Uncle Ron turns 60!

Such love
Jeez, the weeks are just FLYING by, aren't they?

This past week hit the normal groove. We had a lot of fun with E as he gets sooooo close to rolling over. He's got all the steps in place, but is missing the proper sequence and/or momentum. Soon, my friends, soon. But the little critter is squealing with delight every time he tries, so at least he's enjoying himself. And he's been sleeping well. Bedtime is around 8 pm (post bath and final nursing) and he wakes for breakfast between 5:30 and 6 am. (I wish I got that much sleep).

Cody is training him well
Friday was pretty low key for us...stayed home and ate leftovers. And, no, we weren't sick or anything. I dunno what happened, but it was nice and relaxing. Which was good because the rest of the weekend was nuts.
This class was more fun (and filling) than Thermodynamics
Saturday, Roger, Uncle Ron, Gary, and I took a competition level BBQ class about an hour north of here. We learned so much about meat and smoking meat and grilling meat and eating meat and...you get the idea. From brisket to ribs to salmon, we saw and sampled it all (oh, man, did we sample). Meanwhile Lisa and E ran errands before attending a Cal Poly Materials Engineering reunion potluck with Lisa's old classmates. That evening, when we were all at home - stuffed - we shared about or days with each other.
The life(s) of the party
Lil'E and I hit 9am Sunday Mass while Lisa taught Sunday School. Afterwards we headed home to do stuff around the house. E must've been pooped from his party the day before, because he zonked out for most of the afternoon. I got to be Mr. Mom while Lisa helped her parents get ready for...

UNCLE RON'S SURPRISE 60th!

E woke up just in time for me to cart him over there for the big "SURPRISE!" There were so many good family friends there that neither Lisa nor I really got any baby time at all, but the lil'guy had fun getting passed person to person. There was a ton of delicious food and cocktails (who knew Opa was a master Mai Tai maker).
