World Champs!

First things first...YAY GIANTS! Lil'E loved watching them sweep the Detroit Tigers in the World Series. He even got to stay up way past his bedtime on Sunday to watch that 10th inning (or maybe he wasn't able to sleep over at Oma/Opa's with all the noise..either way, he saw the victory). Uncle Brian keeps managing his expectations in that they don't even make it to the playoffs every year. But all-in-all a good year to become a Giants fan.

Anyhow, rewind to the rest of time since we spoke last.
*Wavy rewind lines*

Last week found me away from E for the first extended period of time while I was at a conference on the east coast. I escaped the coast far ahead of Hurricane Sandy, so that was good. Meanwhile, Lisa did a great job managing the dogs, E, and work. They visited friends (like Gavin) and got ready for the big event of the weekend: Auntie 'Ness and her boyfriend Tanner coming to town! They arrived on Saturday shortly before I did (though enough time to have brunch AND hit a winery...efficient, huh?). Lisa and E picked me up from the airport and we raced over to our first Baby Sign Language class. Then we booked it to BJ's to watch Game 3 with the family. After dinner and the game, we had an impromptu party over at Oma/Opa's in celebration of Tanner's b-day.

Sunday morning was (thankfully) a bit lazier. The lil'man, the dogs, and I took a long walk while Lisa taught Sunday School and then we met everyone for coffee. Just before the game, we took another long walk to see the progress of the new 49er's stadium. For dinner, E tried peas for the first time...and while it went better than oatmeal, he still wasn't 100% sure he liked this new "solid food" thing. And then, of course, we watched Game 4...but you already knew that.

Yesterday, Tanner left and Vanessa enjoyed E & Auntie time (including some baby matchmaking FaceTime).

We can't wait for E's first Halloween. I won't spoil the surprise of E's costume, but check back next week for pics...(that, my friends, is called a teaser).

Happy (and safe) Halloween to everyone!
