Swimming lessons have been going great. E has gotten much better at "kick-kick-kick", he lasts for nearly thirty seconds on his back without totally melting down, and he even blows bubbles! Ok, that might be overstating it a tad...but he has done it several times, just not always on command. Anyhow: progress!
He's tearing up the land even better than the sea. He's even picked up on the "Papa shuffle" where he'll stop and do a quick little jig that he thinks is so funny when Papa does it. He also loves to stop and smell the flowers, which is a lesson we should all remember.
This past weekend, we accompanied Oma and Opa to our old college lair, San Luis Obispo, to look at some potential venues for Tante Ness' wedding. Lisa and I were both game, seeing any excuse to get to SLO as a good one. We ate at our favorite BBQ spot. We even met with the Metsers, who happened to be passing through, and showed off the Cal Poly campus to them. We had dinner with Noni and her beautiful new puppy. And we stuffed ourselves at the Apple Farm. Basically, all the best of SLO in 24 hours.
