Pumpkin Patch & Tiki Party!

Hope everyone is doing well out there. We're doing great. Lots of learning and growing this past week. E added "stop" and "boys" (though it sounds more like Bose) to his vocabulary, among others. He got another haircut and looks like such a little boy now. He's starting to get the drift of the Hokey Pokey...especially the twirl yourself around part. And he's beginning to sing along with his favorite songs or do the hand movements for Wheels on the Bus or the Itsy Bitsy Spider. One--more inconvenient--development is the discovery of his spoon's reflective properties. He finds great fun in watching the food in his mouth...

For the weekend, we "finished" this round of painting by taking all of our helpers (Opa, Oma, Uncle Brian, and E) out for a swanky-ish dinner at Santana Row on Friday night. Saturday morning, E and Lisa picked up cousin Gracie from soccer to spend the day/night with us. She was GREAT help...watching E and petting the dogs while we did chores. Since we all worked hard, we played hard too and took the kiddos to a pumpkin patch where Gracie expertly drove E around in a John Deere powerwheels. We rounded out the full day by having the family over for taco night!

Sunday morning, the family met up for brunch with Gracie's folks as well as Uncle Mark, Aunt Dasha, and the girls. Yard work and errands consumed most the afternoon, but again, we mixed in equal parts work and play...heading up to Auntie Jasmine's parent's house for a Tiki party. The food was AMAZING. The beer was COLD (and high quality). We got to wear Hawaiian shirts. And their backyard is like stepping into Polynesia. Fantastic time.
